SEOUL, Korea (October 20, 2016) - World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) President Chungwon Choue, speaking on behalf of the entire taekwondo family, today offered Jordan’s Nadin Dawani his most sincere congratulations on her appointment to the IOC Athletes’ Commission.

 

Dawani is the only taekwondo athlete on the 20-member Commission and will work to ensure that taekwondo athletes and athletes from all Olympic sports are kept at the very heart of the Olympic Movement. Dawani will also work with the IOC Athletes’ Commission to strengthen the support to clean athletes on and off the field of play and ensure that their views are represented within the Olympic Movement.

 

In a letter to Dawani, President Choue expressed his full support for her appointment and stated that he had no doubt that her “knowledge and experience will contribute to the growth and development of world sport.”

 

The entire taekwondo family is very proud of Dawani’s appointment and will do all that is necessary to support her and the IOC Athletes’ Commission.
