SEOUL, Korea (Dec. 22 2017) – World Taekwondo has announced a New Year personnel reshuffle.

 

Director General Jin-bang Yang, having completed his contract with WT, will depart the Seoul office to return to his teaching duties at Yongin University. However, he remains as Chairman of the WT Technical Committee.

 

The tasks done by Yang will be divided into two temporarily by Eil-chul Kim, current Deputy Secretary General and head of the WT Education Department, and Jeongkang Seo, who was promoted as a Deputy Secretary General. Kim’s new role will cover Administration, Finance and Marketing, while Seo will take care of Sport, Event and Legal&Member Relations and Development.

 

Mr. Jungseok Yoo was promoted to Director of Education Department.

 

The Communications and Education Departments will independently work in close cooperation with other related Departments.

 

Current Head of Finance Byung-chun Jeon will take over the Administration Department. Current Head of Administration Seung-min Lee will move to the Marketing Department on January 2, 2018. Current Deputy Manager Marco Ienna of Sport Department was promoted to Manager and will move to the President’s Office.
