Four NOCs from Oceania Win Tickets to Paris 2024


HONIARA, Solomon Islands (Apr 6, 2024) - Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea have secured places at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games following the conclusion of the Taekwondo Olympic Qualifier tournament in Honiara, Solomon Islands on April 6, 2024.


Following his participation in the Joint Training Camp organized by World Taekwondo in January 2024, Papua New Guinea's Gibson Koago Mara (M+80kg) emerged as provisional qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. 


This achievement underscores the effectiveness of the intensive training and skill enhancement provided during the camp, made possible through the support of World Taekwondo and the IOC Olympic Solidarity Programme.
